Common Pre-requisites for all Retreats

  • Apply for all the retreats.
  • Attendance at the Preparation Session is required for all the retreats.
  • Translation: Depending on the availability of translators, and if five or more approved applicants request it.


Pilgrimage to the Heart Retreat

Each day of the Pilgrimage to the Heart retreat includes chanting, meditation, contemplation, study, hatha yoga, the practice of silence, and at the centre of it all, the ever-deepening connection with the inner Self.

Requirements to Apply
For Siddha Yoga students:
a) 30 years or older: Engagement in a minimum of two years of Siddha Yoga sadhana.
b) 18-29 years old: Engagement in a minimum of one year of Siddha Yoga sadhana.

  • Participation in at least one Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive in the past 3 years.
  • Experience of regular seva in a local Siddha Yoga meditation centre, for at least one year and/or participation in the majority of Siddha Yoga celebrations at a local centre in the past year.
  • A regular practice of daily meditation for at least one year.
  • A regular practice of dakshina.
  • Proficiency in the language the retreat is being offered in (Hindi for March, April and English for the other retreats). This is not only required for practical reasons, but is also necessary to support each participant in going deeper in their study, learning and understanding.
  • Good health and fitness. Participants must be able to participate fully in the retreat schedule from the early morning hours to the evening.

Siddha Yoga Family Retreat

In this Siddha Yoga Family Retreat, families with children ages 10 to 17 learn and practise ways of honouring the Self that abides and manifests through them, others and the world around them.

Requirements to Apply
For Parents:

  • Both parents have been engaged in Siddha Yoga sadhana for at least two years.
  • Participation in at least one Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive in the past 3 years.
  • Experience of regular seva in a local Siddha Yoga meditation centre for at least one year and/or participation in the majority of Siddha Yoga celebrations at a local centre in the past year.
  • Proficiency in the language the retreat is being offered in (Hindi for April and English for the other retreats). This is not only required for practical reasons, but is also necessary to support each participant in going deeper in their study, learning and understanding.
  • Regular practice of dakshina and seva.
  • Good health and fitness.

For Children

  • Age 10 – 17 years
  • Have participated in at least one children’s course or Siddha Yoga Intensive in the past five years
  • Have been attending Children/ Yuva satsangs for at least two years
